Yaroslav Amosov lost to Jackson by knockout: video
Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov (27-1) made his second defense of the Bellator welterweight title (up to 77.1 kg) against Jamaican challenger Jason Jackson (17-4) in the main event of the Bellator 301 tournament, which took place on November 18 in Chicago (USA).
Jackson stopped Amosov in the 3rd round and became the new champion.
Amosov’s repeated attempts at a takedown in the opening round were unsuccessful. Jackson excels at defending against transfers and is also convincing on the stand, landing several right uppercuts and straight shots to the head.

Amosov fails to move the challenger down in the second round. Jason has weakened the pressure, and events are unfolding mainly in the center of the cage. The Jamaican continues to interrupt Yaroslav.

Amosov does not work on his mistakes during the fight. His attempts to pass to the legs are unprepared and readable, and the blows missed towards him are still regular. Jackson hits the right hand over and over again and eventually knocks the Ukrainian down.

Let us recall that Amosov won the title in June 2021, defeating Brazilian Douglas Lima on points, and made his first defense in February 2023, confidently defeating American Logan Storley in a rematch by decision. Yaroslav’s record in Bellator became 8-1
Jackson came into the title fight on a six-fight winning streak and now has an 8-1 record in Bellator.
